I am a follower of Jesus. I still have questions. What do you think? God , the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus , the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried , and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, " Jesus is Lord ," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

I enjoyed reading this memoir and being taken back in history and learn not only about the story of these two boys, but the sad truth of what the after war. Expressly, I would like to thank Goodreads for the free book. I actually just stopped reading at page I sympathized with this man's history, and I whole heartedly empathize. However, I was put off by the contradiction of speaking about the God of creation, and then with the theory of evolution shortly after. You simply cannot put them both into the same context and expect a positive review from someone who believes in Creationism as sincerely as I do, or vice versa for someone who believes Expressly, I would like to thank Goodreads for the free book.

You simply cannot put them both into the same context and expect a positive review from someone who believes in Creationism as sincerely as I do, or vice versa for someone who believes in the evolutionists theory either. I greatly appreciated some meaningful quotes that were used, and greatly appreciated the fact that the author appeared to be in need exponentially of some answer to the mysterious ways of "human" nature.

The need for good to win and be rewarded, while the evil perish and receive justice. If overtly the context didn't speak in such a manner about creation, and then revert to other methods of our being, I would have enjoyed the ride.

The author appears to be a masterful storyteller, and I believe his personal story should be told, however I don't agree with his philosophical outlook. Again, thank you for the free book. He wrestles with the moral choices of people he encountered and that he, himself, encountered throughout his life. I am glad he took the time to write this book and record his experience and thoughts, as these are issues we all deal with in our lives. I especially like that he chose to call the book "The Constant Ch This is an interesting memoir of the life of someone who survived a Soviet work crew as a child. I especially like that he chose to call the book "The Constant Choice" and dealt with the issue in the extraordinary and the ordinary parts of his life.

As a memoir it is very much one point of view and at times can sound like a commercial for the things that helped Peter deal with the trauma he experienced. Not too surprising for someone with a career in advertising, and in a way it adds to the authenticity of the book.

As a result, it did not have a more thorough discussion of the topic of the book, which I had anticipated. I still recommend the book for all the reasons I describe above.

Jul 07, Ed Thwaites rated it it was amazing. Riveting autobiography of Peter's search for life's meaning, starting in Communist-controlled Romania through the challenges of corporate America. Very insightful conclusions about values, and about God. The first half about his boyhood days is exceptionally moving. The portion about his life as a corporate executive is slower-paced, and a bit repetitive in spots, but necessary to understand the conclusions of his life-search.
